Protecting your personal information is a foundational part of how EzChargez is built, for both drivers and hosts.
What's never shared with other users
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your home address (for drivers) or exact billing details
- Your raw payment card information
Instead, all communication between drivers and hosts happens through EzChargez's in-app messaging system, which lets you coordinate freely without ever exposing your personal contact details to a stranger.
How payment data is protected
Payment information is encrypted end-to-end and processed by a PCI-compliant payment provider — the same security standard used by major banks and e-commerce companies. EzChargez does not store your full card number on its own servers.
What information hosts do see
Hosts see a driver's first name, profile photo (if added), vehicle type, and rating — enough to confirm who's arriving for a booking, without exposing sensitive personal details. Similarly, drivers see a host's first name, listing details, rating, and reviews.
Your control over your data
You can review and update the information associated with your account any time from the Account tab. For full details on what data is collected, how it's used, and your rights regarding it, see our Privacy Policy.
If you ever notice anything that seems like a privacy concern — for example, a message that requests personal information outside the app — please report it right away so our team can investigate.
Deleting your data
If you ever decide to stop using EzChargez, you can request account deletion from the Account settings screen. Once processed, your personal information is removed or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy, aside from records we're required to retain for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Third parties
EzChargez works with a small number of trusted service providers — such as our payment processor — strictly to operate core features of the app. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the specific service they provide and are never permitted to sell or repurpose it.
