Finding a nearby host is the first step to charging with EzChargez, and it only takes a few taps to see everything available around you.
Using the map
- Open the app and tap the Map tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Allow location access so EzChargez can center the map on your current position, or type in an address or zip code to search a different area.
- Verified hosts currently accepting bookings will appear as pins, sorted by distance from your search point.
Filtering results
Tap the Filters icon above the map to narrow results by:
- Charger level (Level 1 or Level 2)
- Connector type compatible with your saved vehicle
- Price range per session or per hour
- Host rating
- Availability window (right now vs. later today vs. a future date)
Reading a host's profile
Tapping any pin opens the host's full profile, showing their charger details, hourly rate, hosting hours, star rating, written reviews from previous drivers, and real-time availability. This is the best place to confirm everything lines up with your vehicle and schedule before booking — see how to book a charging session for the next step.
If you regularly charge in the same area, consider saving your favorite hosts so they're quicker to find next time you need a top-off.
Saving favorite hosts
If you find a host you like — great charger speed, easy access, friendly communication — tap the heart or "save" icon on their profile to add them to your favorites list. Favorited hosts appear at the top of your map results, making repeat bookings even faster the next time you need to charge in that area.
Searching a new area
Planning to be somewhere else later today or this week? You can search any address, not just your current location, which is especially useful for planning ahead around errands, work trips, or visits to friends and family in a different part of town.
