Booking a session on EzChargez is designed to take less than a minute once you've found the right host. Here's the full flow from start to finish.
Step-by-step booking
- Find a host on the map that matches your location, charger type, and schedule (see how to find a host near me).
- Review their profile — check the charger type, rate, hosting hours, and reviews to make sure it's a good fit.
- Tap "Book a Reservation."
- Select your session duration, typically ranging from 30 to 180 minutes depending on the host's settings.
- Review the estimated total cost, shown clearly before you confirm — no surprise charges.
- Tap Confirm and Pay. Your saved payment method is charged automatically and securely in-app.
What happens after you book
Once confirmed, the host receives an instant notification of your reservation. Most hosts respond or auto-accept within minutes. You'll see the reservation move through these statuses in the app: Pending → Accepted → En Route → Charging → Completed. The app also provides turn-by-turn navigation to the host's address once your booking is accepted.
Tips for a smooth booking
- Double-check your vehicle profile is up to date so cost and time estimates are accurate.
- If you have questions about parking, access, or timing, message the host before confirming — see messaging a host.
- Arrive within your booked window; if you're running late, a quick message to the host goes a long way.

Booking in advance vs. same-day
You can book a session either for right now or scheduled for a future date and time, depending on the host's settings. Booking ahead is useful if you're planning a trip and want to guarantee availability, while same-day bookings work well for spontaneous top-offs when you're already out and about. Either way, the same confirmation and payment flow applies.
